Academic Tech Talks Offering Cranium Café Training on April 12

Cranium Café is a user-friendly, real-time, web-based meeting and collaboration platform that requires no download or installation. It is FERPA and ADA compliant and, unlike Skype, has been designed specifically for higher education.

If you are marked as “home,” students can “knock” on your electronic door to speak with you, exchange files, review information, receive advising and registration assistance or learn about BSU or your academic program and services, regardless of his or her location.

On April 12, as part of Information Technology Services’ regular “Words with Nerds” series, Kody Hagen and Kelly Knapp will present a one-hour training session that includes a review of the account-creation process and several other topics including:

  • What a group card is and the process of requesting one.
  • How to integrate the Cranium Café group and personal cards on the BSU and NTC websites.
  • The process for including live support on an office or department website.

Tracy GorhamThe session will include time for questions. Coffee and cookies will be provided, and attendees are invited to bring a lunch.
