Social Work Major Discusses Addiction, Recovery at 2017 Straight Talk Panel

Bemidji State University student Amber Vincent is one of four panelist who will discuss addiction and recovery at a Straight Talk panel. The Oct. 25 conversation is part of BSU’s activities in support of Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week.

Vincent, a junior social work major from Bemidji, is a lead recovery coach at Face It Together, a local organization which helps people dealing with addiction — either their own or that of a family member or loved one — through individual, personalized coaching. She will be joined on the panel by Margot Kelsey and KP Selzer from Face It Together in Bemidji and Jeff Lindseth from Sanford Health Bemidji.

Straight Talk begins at 7 p.m. in the American Indian Resource Center’s Gathering Room and is open free to anyone who wishes to attend.
