Bemidji State’s Criminal Justice Program Recognized by College Choice

Bemidji State University’s online bachelor’s degree program in criminal justice has been recognized as one of the nation’s best by the website College Choice.

The site ranked Bemidji State’s program seventh on its list of the 50 “Best Online Criminal Justice Degrees.”

Bemidji State’s online criminal justice degree program is designed to prepare students for careers in a wide variety of areas in the criminal justice field, such as law enforcement, lawyers, probation officers, youth counselors and more.

Bemidji State’s bachelor of criminal justice is a fully accredited program focusing on the liberal arts framework to develop the knowledge, values and ethical consciousness that are essential for becoming successful leaders in the field. Graduates of the program are equipped with knowledge about the nature and causes of crime and delinquency, understanding of the law, law enforcement, corrections, courts, and victims and victim services in American society. Students will be prepared to serve in both the private and public sectors through a combination of coursework, internships and special research projects.

Bemidji State also offers two minor areas of study, in criminal justice and fraud examination, in addition to an on-campus bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Additionally, majors can focus their study further with an emphasis in law enforcement, corrections, victimology or tribal justice.
