2018 Homecoming Parade Held in Downtown Bemidji

Bemidji State kicked off its 2018 Homecoming celebration with its parade through downtown Bemidji on Oct. 6. The parade led into BSU’s traditional Homecoming football game, a thrilling 25-21 win over the University of Sioux Falls at Chet Anderson Stadium.

The parade featured President Hensrud, former BSU President Jon Quistgaard, distinguished alumni, alumni award winners and student organizations. This year’s parade Grand Marshall was Bill Howe ‘52 who played football and hockey for Bemidji State and has been a long-time volunteer, supporter and former board member of the BSU Alumni & Foundation.

Bemidji State University, located amid the lakes and forests of northern Minnesota, occupies a wooded campus along the shore of Lake Bemidji.
