Two Finalists Announced For BSU’s Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs

Bemidji State University will interview two finalists for its position of associate vice president for academic affairs. The on-campus interviews will be held April 16 and April 17.

Dr. Jeffrey Dupree – April 16

Dr. Jeffrey Dupree was the provost at Eastern Gateway Community College in Steubenville, Ohio until 2018. During his time there he also served in several roles as a faculty member, department chair and dean. Dupree was also a faculty member at Victory College in Memphis, Tennessee from 2009-2011, chair of the School of Education at Aldolphus University in Phillipi, West Virginia from 2011-2014, dean of the School of Education at Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma from 2014-2017 and vice president for academic affairs at Bacone College in 2017. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies from Valley Forge College in Chester County, Pennsylvania. He also holds master’s degrees in elementary education and educational administration and a doctorate in educational leadership, administration and technology from Dowling College in Oakdale, New York.

Dr. Allen Bedford – April 17

Dr.Allen Bedford is currently the director of institutional effectiveness at Bryn Athyn College in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania. During his tenure at Bryn Athyn, Bedford served in several roles including chair of the mathematics and science division from 2004—2009, director of institutional outcomes and assessment from 2007-2010, associate dean of academic affairs in 2010 and dean of academics and chief academic officer from 2010-2017. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English and science from Bryn Athyn College. He also holds master’s and doctoral degrees in chemistry from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
