Celebrating Excellence, BSU Students Honored for Outstanding Achievements

The Hobson Memorial Union hosted its 2019 Leadership Celebration to recognize outstanding student leaders, organizations, programs and advisors on April 24.

Dr. Jesse Grant, associate vice president for student life and success, welcomed the students to the event and introduced the evening’s keynote speaker Denae Alamano, executive director of United Way of the Bemidji area.

Alamano encouraged the student leader to know who they are as a person, find their passion in life and bring people together to make a difference.

“When I look around the room and the see the passion these students have, our community’s future is bright. We have so many young leaders looking to make a difference,” Almano said.
