Students for the Environment (SFE), the sustainability office and BSU grounds crew and maintenance teamed up to plant trees on the Bemidji State University campus.

SFE members Anna Haynes from Albany, Minn., Skye Iwanski from Appleton, Wisc., Jacob Haley from Pine River, Minn. and Benjamin Ng, along with Jordan Lutz, sustainablity project manager, spent today planning the trees in front of campus buildings. They worked with grounds crew to find the best spots for the trees to thrive.

The trees were purchased by SFE from Hill’s Country Greenhouse in Bemidji. They planted two Autumn blazes, a prairie cascade willow, an apricot tree and a red splender crabapple tree.
