BSU to Host Talk About Finding Passion in Your Career Through Pop Culture

On Oct. 7, Bemidji State University will host Dr. David Whitt from Nebraska Wesleyan University of Lincoln, Nebraska, for a lecture where he will discuss finding passion within careers. Open free to the public, the lecture will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Hagg-Sauer Hall auditorium on campus.

The presentation, called “What’s Going On? From 2001 to Ted Lasso: Finding Common Ground Through Pop Culture and Communication,” is sponsored by the Communication Scholars Society student organization and the Department of Sociology & Communication Studies. The lecture will also feature a discussion about how popular culture provides an opportunity for society to engage in cross-cultural dialogue.
