Dr. Eric Forsyth, professor of human performance, sport and health, recently co-authored an article and presented at two national sport management conferences.

An article co-authored by Forsyth titled “A Mixed-Methods Approach to Identifying Coaches and Officials Issues Pertinent in Interscholastic Athletics” was printed in the Journal of Contemporary Athletics, Vol. 15, No. 2. The article investigates what issues are most pertinent to coaches and officials in interscholastic sports, how important those issues are to athletic administrators and possible implications of those issues to athletic administrators.

Forsyth presented at the Global Sport Business Association Conference held in Miami, Fla., where he co-presented a research presentation titled “High School Sport Research: We Can Do Better.” He also co-presented a presentation titled “Examining Issues Related to Parental Involvement, Scheduling, Specialization and Sportsmanship in Interscholastic Athletics” at the North American Society for Sport Management Conference held in Atlanta, Ga.
