Eric Carlson – Director

I am an associate professor at Bemidji State University where I teach visual art education methods, makerspace, illustration, animation, motion, and graphic design courses. I hold a BS in Art Education with an emphasis in 2D Design, and a master’s in art education with classes from Art of Education University, Morningside, and Augsburg College. My experiences include four years as an illustrator and graphic designer for Mad Science of Minnesota and Schoolhouse Chess and ten years teaching K-12 art at Kelliher Public School and Jefferson Community School in Minneapolis. During five years at Kelliher, I managed and operated a Fab Lab makerspace and designed curriculums around 3D printing, dye-sublimation printing, and CNC fabrication for K-12 students. The Kelliher School Fab Lab won the Profiles in Excellence award in 2017 from the Minnesota Rural Education Association (MREA). I was a semifinalist for Teacher of the Year in Minnesota in 2018. I have a particular interest in graphic novels and the maker movement.

Mya Fountain – Lead Illustrator and Content Coordinator

I am the Lead illustrator and Content Coordinator, I’m studying Graphic Design, Interactive Multimedia, and Digital Illustration & Animation. I work with graphic design but I also do a lot of communication, I’m working to expand my portfolio and get more ‘on the job’ experience. I’m very passionate about the work I do and I hope to keep learning and growing, and I can’t wait to see where Digital Corps takes me through my college career!

Declan Anderson – Lead Design and Project Manager

I’m a Rochester, Minnesota–based creative inspired by the rich symbolism of Celtic and Nordic design. Outside of my work, I write and play music, stay active in the gym and outdoors, and have been playing soccer since I was three, which continues to be an outlet and passion of mine.

Anna Stith – Social Media and Marketing Coordinator

My name is Anna and I am the Social Media and Marketing Coordinator for Digital Corps. I am a second year student at BSU and I am double majoring in Graphic Design and Marketing Communications. I focus mainly on making social media posts and finding ways to market the social medias that Digital Corps run. I enjoy cooking and baking, designing, drawing digitally, hanging out with my friends, and trying different crafts!

Ethan Anderson – Content Creator

Hey, I’m Ethan Anderson I’m a second year design and music student here at BSU. As a part of digital corps I’ve been doing a lot of videography and graphic design work. Some projects I’ve worked on have been professor spotlight interviews for social media and posters advertising the School of Music. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with friends, drinking coffee, and listening to music.

Jocelyn Galdamez – Content Creator

Hi! I’m a junior at Bemidji State University studying Graphic and Interactive Design. I love creating in various mediums, both digital and physical, and I’m always interested in understanding how things are made. In my free time, I enjoy playing video games and baking sweet treats. I have recently picked up motion design, and I hope my time with Digital Corps can help me build those skills.

Zoe Welter – Content Creator

I am a first-year student with emphasis areas in Exhibit and Experience Design and Event Design and Planning. I am excited to gain more skills and become a more fluent designer during my time with Digital Corps. When I have free time, I enjoy being outside, crafting, exercising, and spending time with my family and friends.

Zach Laskowski – Content Creator

I am a second-year student pursuing a degree in Digital Illustration & Animation. I am a creative, hardworking digital illustrator specializing in graphic design and motion graphics and I’m eager to learn as much as I can here at BSU. In my free time I do a lot of reading, climbing, and playing piano.

Isabella Marie Dahl – Content Creator

I was born in Richfield Minnesota and graduated from Kennedy Senior Highshool in 2024. I specialize in embroidery and animation. At Digital Corps, I hope to learn how to communicate and collaborate better with artists and coworkers, since that is an important skill to have in my field of work.
