Fall 2020 Orientation & Welcome Week
August 20 – August 28, 2020
Bemidji State University believes one of the most important experiences for every student is Orientation. New Student Orientation and Welcome Week are the kick-off of the academic year for all students new to Bemidji State University, both as first-time college students and transfer students. All of our new fall students are expected to participate.
Due to the coronavirus events of this spring, we are not yet prepared to publish our fall 2020 full schedule but will update as more information is available.
Orientation and Welcome Week programming will be officially begin Thursday, August 20th and will continue through the first week of classes.
Students will be broken into small groups of 25-30 students led by student orientation leaders. Orientation and Welcome Week will offer many learning and social networking opportunities. You’ll learn:
- What BSU expects of you as a student in and out of the classroom
- What resources are available at Bemidji State University and the community of Bemidji and how to take advantage of them
- How to become involved in campus activities both in and out of the classroom
- Where to find campus academic support as well as personal and social support
Students will register for orientation during Academic Advising and Registration (AAR). There is a $40 Orientation Fee that will be assessed with registration. The fee is in place to support students’ transition to Bemidji State University through New Student Orientation and Welcome Week.
