Graduate Admissions

Graduate study at Bemidji State is rigorous, rewarding and career-oriented. We offer small classes, experienced faculty and affordable tuition.

As you prepare to take on the challenge of advanced course work and intensive field experience, make sure to explore all that BSU has to offer and all that you need to consider before applying.

Pick Your Program

Whether you want to pursue a master’s degree or attain a certificate or licensure, you will benefit from personal attention, thoughtful guidance, and practical experience in the field. All of our master’s programs have an intensive final requirement. Some certificate or licensure offerings may lead to a master’s degree.

Can I Afford Graduate School?

Most graduate programs can be completed in one to three years, and all of them offer in-state or reciprocity tuition rates to qualified students. Even graduate students need help covering the cost of their education. Luckily, there are programs to assist in meeting the financial obligations of a graduate degree. Whether it is through loans, scholarships, grants, graduate assistantships or our Tuition Reciprocity Programs, Bemidji State wants students to be able to succeed without significant financial burden. Explore financial aid options, and if you have any questions at all, reach out to the Financial Aid office to discuss your financial plan. We especially encourage you to access their Money Management program, which is a money management resource for today and in the future!

Many programs offer rolling admissions, so you can apply whenever you are ready. If you would like to register for classes in the summer or fall term, we encourage you to get your application materials in by April 1 because many departments are not available during the summer months.
