Bemidji State University’s fifth annual Midwinter Interlude, an art show featuring works by faculty and staff, has been extended through April.

The show is being held in BSU’s Ramsey Gallery, located in the Bangsberg Fine Arts Complex. The barrier-free gallery is open to the public free of charge.

This year’s Midwinter Interlude features work from 19 faculty and staff artists. Works on display include photography, sculpture, jewelry, quilting, knitting, drawing, painting, printmaking, fiber arts and other forms of arts and crafts.

Touché Gallery show for Women’s History Month
In conjunction with Women’s History Month, Bemidji State’s Touché Gallerie is featuring the artistic works of nine women on the BSU faculty and staff. The show features a mix of drawing, mosaic, needlework, painting, photography and verse covering a wide range of subject matter.

BSU’s women’s studies and gender studies programs continue their program of activities to recognize March as Women’s History Month with a week-long feature on women artists, March 24-27.

Artist’s Week activities are open free to the public from noon-1 p.m. each day in the Terrace Lounge of BSU’s upper Hobson Memorial Union.

Artist’s Week culminates with an Honors Council Lecture Series presentation by Elizabeth Cook-Lynn at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at the American Indian Resource Center.
