Determine your eligibility for admission by consulting with your high school counselor. Discuss whether PSEO is appropriate for your academic plan and individual circumstances (consider extra-curricular activities and/or jobs, study skills, maturity level, support system, etc.)
Talk with your parents about what it means to be a PSEO student, and attend any PSEO informational sessions hosted by your school.
Arrange a meeting with your high school counselor to start the application process.
Complete and submit the Minnesota Department of Education PSEO Notice of Student Registration 2020-21 form as well as the Bemidji State University Application for PSEO. An updated PSEO Notice of Student Registration is needed for each term.
— Note: You are required to notify your high school of your intent to enroll as PSEO for the following academic year BEFORE May 30th. This applies to both fall and spring semester. This date is indicated in section one of the PSEO Notice of Student Registration form. It is highly recommended that your notification is submitted in writing. —
Have your high school send an official copy of your transcript with your high school rank (include ACT score if high school rank is not available.) Please note that, when available, rank will always be used for eligibility purposes.
Once your application is received, along with your official transcripts and the PSEO Notice of Student Registration form, admittance to the program will be determined by the PSEO Coordinator and you will be notified of your admission status and next steps.
