How to Apply

Deadline for Spring 2022 applications: December 1st, 2021
*Deadline for Fall 2022 applications: May 30th, 2022*

*Please note: All Fall 2022 application forms will not be available until spring semester, 2022.

A complete application includes the PSEO application, an official high school transcript, and the Notice of Student Registration form. Please find more information below.

Step 1: Review Eligibility

Determine your eligibility for admission by consulting with your high school counselor. Discuss whether PSEO is appropriate for your academic plan and individual circumstances (consider extra-curricular activities and/or jobs, study skills, maturity level, support system, etc.)

Step 2: Approvals Needed

Parents or guardians, and high school counselors are required to sign-off on paperwork included in the application process. Get them all involved in the conversation early on!

As you work with your high school counselor, create a list of courses you still need to complete in order to meet high school graduation requirements. High school graduation is priority for PSEO students, and continuous contact with your high school counselor is important.

Step 3: Apply

Complete and submit the Bemidji State University Application for PSEO.

Use an existing StarID if you've already earned credits at any MinnState school (the format is xx0000xx), and use the StarID Self Service site if you're unsure of your password or StarID.)

Make note of your StarID and password if you're creating them for the first time.

Step 4: Submit Additional Documentation

Your high school counselor should submit the following two items

Notice of Student Registration

Parents or guardians, and high school counselors are required to sign the Minnesota Department of Education Notice of Student Registration form. This can be submitted via email or mail.

Note: You are required to notify your high school of your intent to enroll as PSEO for the following academic year BEFORE May 30th. It is highly recommended that your notification is submitted in writing.

Official High School Transcript

An official copy of your high school transcript that includes class rank or ACT score (depending on eligibility requirements) needs to be included in your application materials. Please note that, when available, class rank will always be used for eligibility purposes. Please mail an official copy, or send via secure online system.
