Bemidji State's 2010-11 women's basketball season underway

BEMIDJI, Minn. (Nov. 22, 2010) – The Bemidji State women’s basketball program has its 2010-11 season underway and is looking ahead to its Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference opener in December.

The Beavers are coached by Mike Curfman, in his fifth year as head coach at Bemidji State. Curfman has been one of the most successful bench bosses in BSU history; his five years as head coach is the third-longest tenure by a BSU head coach and he is fourth all-time in coaching victories.

Bemidji State won two of its first three games to open the 2010-11 season; the Beavers won their season opener against Mayville State and then splitting a pair of games at the Maverick Classic in Mankato, Minn. BSU opens NSIC play on Dec. 3 against Minnesota State University, Moorhead.
