With help from the university’s Career Services office, more than 30 Bemidji State University students have stayed in Bemidji this summer to gain valuable on-the-job experience through an internship with a local business.
Dr. Brian Hiller, Associate Professor of Biology, and undergraduate researcher McKenzie Ingram are involved in a research project involving purple martins in the Bemidji area this summer. Collaborating in this effort along with BSU are the MN DNR, City of Bemidji, Headwaters Audubon Society, Minnesota Ornithological Union, Mille Lacs Tribe, Brainerd Audubon, and private individuals.
