Bemidji State University reached a significant milestone in a years-long effort to replace the aging Hagg-Sauer Hall when Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton signed the state’s bonding bill into law on May 30.

Mississippi Headwaters Board Touts Conservation Efforts During BASS Championship

The Brainerd, Minn.,-based Mississippi Headwaters Board has shared a video feature on the 2017 BASS College Championships, hosted by Bemidji State University on Lake Bemidji in August 2017. The video gives an overview of the tournament and also looks at steps taken during the tournament to support water conservation and prevent the spread of invasive species.

BSU Magazine: Students Study Mystery of Martins’ Decline

Over the past four years, BSU graduate and undergraduate students have worked with Dr. Brian Hiller, associate professor of biology, to band 1,500 purple martins to help solve the mystery of their declining migration from South America.

Outdoor Program Center Preparing for May 14 Opening Day

Mark Morrissey and his staff at Bemidji State University’s Outdoor Program Center installed the dock at the BSU Boathouse in Diamond Point Park as part of their preparation for the summer activities season. The OPC will be open to all for equipment rentals beginning Monday, May 14.
