Department of Chemistry Scholarship Application Form - The Chemistry Department offers a number of scholarships, which are available to current students. If you will be here next year, think about applying. See the Department Chair for details.
Summer, 2004. The Chemistry Department will be offering the Organic Chemistry year-long sequence, both lecture and lab, during the 10 weeks from June 1 to August 6. These are "immersion" type courses, equivalent to the year-long (2 semester) Organic sequence. Students are advised to limit other classes and work hours, so they can give adequate time and energy to these courses. The first summer session runs from Tuesday, June 1 to Thursday, July 1. Chemistry 2311(lecture) 3 credits, MTWH 10:35 am -12:25pm. Chemistry 2371 (lab) 1 credit, MW 1:00pm - 4:00pm For more information, email to gmorine@bemidjistate.edu The second summer session runs from Tuesday, July 6 to Thursday, August 5. Chemistry 2312 (lecture) 3 credits, MTWH 10:30 am -12:25 pm Chemistry 2372 (lab), 1 credit, MW 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm For more information, email to kmarek@bemidjistate.edu The textbook for the lecture classes is "Organic Chemistry," by Solomons and Fryhle, Publisher: Wiley Text Books; 8th ed., ISBN: 0471417998. The textbook for the lab classes is "Introduction to Organic Laboratory Techniques," by Pavia, Lampman, Kriz and Engel.
