The BSU Foundation and BSU Athletics have introduced a new annual giving program called Pillars of Impact as a unique way to acknowledge and recognize supporters of Beaver Athletics.

The program tracks donations throughout BSU’s July 1-June 30 fiscal year, with donors able to climb to higher levels and receive more recognition based on their cumulative giving totals.

And, the program’s pillars are more than just representative support for the Beavers — three physical pillars located inside the BSU Physical Education Complex will display names and photos of donors at multiple levels. The three pillars, located outside of the Beaver Pride Room in the PE Complex lobby, will lead to a Wall of Legends, where donors who reach that level will be recognized for the entirety of the year.

Annual giving levels will include any donation made to BSU Athletics, Beaver Pride, Beaver Pride premiums paid in conjunction with men’s hockey season tickets or to a designated sport throughout the course of a year.

Supporters are encouraged to give multiple times throughout the fiscal year at their comfort level. Participation in an event or the purchase of base-price hockey tickets do not count toward annual giving levels.

The Pillars of Impact and Wall of Legends will be updated at the end of each fiscal year to reflect the previous year’s donors. All donations made between July 1, 2022-June 30, 2023, reaching the Pillars of Impact Level 1 and beyond will be featured during the fiscal year which begins on July 1.

Beaver Pride Annual Fund gifts provide unrestricted scholarship and program support to the athletic department’s greatest needs. This fund helps maintain BSU’s long-standing tradition of excellence in intercollegiate athletics.

Team-specific giving supports operating expenses and other needs for one of BSU’s 14 athletic teams, as specified by the donor. Team-specific gifts are 100 percent tax deductible.

Donors can also create Impact Scholarships by pledging $1,000 or more per year for three years to support current and future BSU student-athletes. Gifts can be designated to Beaver Pride — which is the greatest need for BSU Athletics — or to the sport of the donor’s choice.
