Local Canoe Trips

Take advantage of northern MN beautiful waterways and join us on a fall canoe trip. Free to current fall students of BSU/NTC. Pre-registration of two participants required per canoe. Unless filled prior, registration will close two days before the scheduled event. Students can register by contacting Connor at 218-755-4141 or connor.mccarthy@bemidjstate.edu or current students can register online at https://recreation.bemidjistate.edu/

We will provide the shuttle, canoes, paddles and life jackets. Contact Connor for more information and departure time from the front entrance of the Wellness Center. Dress for appropriate weather conditions.

Day Trip to Itasca State Park

Join us on a morning/early afternoon trip to Itasca State Park. The Headwaters of the Mississippi River. Enjoy the northern MN fall colors on a hike and visiting the Mississippi River as it begins its slow and steady stream toward the Gulf of Mexico. Spots will fill up fast so be sure to register ASAP. Free to current fall students of BSU/NTC. Unless filled prior, registration will close Wednesday evening 10/15/25.
