Nursing Professor Examines Affect of Cultural Beliefs on Organ Donation

Dr. Misty Condiff, assistant professor of nursing at Bemidji State University, will examine the cultural experiences and health concerns of organ donation among American Indians from a health care provider’s perspective Feb. 22 as a part of BSU’s Honor Council Lecture Series.

Works by illustrator Stefan Markov, who was considered Bulgaria’s premier contemporary artist when he died in 2000 at age 60, will be on display at Bemidji State University’s Talley Gallery beginning Feb. 18.

Relay For Life Holds its Annual Fundraising Walk on Feb. 13

Bemidji State University’s Relay for Life organization held its annual relay on Feb. 13. The relay, which featured music, activities, dancing, food, a silent auction and a luminaria walk. This year’s Disney-themed event was held in the Gillett Recreation-Fitness Center and raised over $8,400 for the fight against cancer.

Bemidji State robotics team captures Design Award at VEX Competition

The Beaver Bots, a team of students from Bemidji State University’s Department of Technology, Art and Design, robotics team, won the Design Award at the VEX U Regional Qualifier Competition, January 30 in St. Cloud, Minn., after competing against seven other teams.

ITS Expanding Use of StarID Beginning March 8

Beginning in March, Information Technology Services will expand Bemidji State University’s use of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities StarID as the login credential for on-campus computers and for a variety of online services.
