Options to Match Many Objectives

The Spanish program at Bemidji State allows students to acquire beginning- and intermediate-level Spanish-language skills with a few courses or go further and develop a level of mastery through a minor or one of two bachelor’s degrees.

  • Spanish BA: This 28-credit major includes 22 credits from Spanish courses numbered 3300 or above, as well as 6 elective credits with consent of a faculty advisor.
  • Spanish Education BS: This 64-credit major includes courses in Spanish and Professional Education, including a student teaching experience, as well as required electives. This program is currently not available. Students interested in the Spanish Education program, contact Dr. Rivera-Hokanson (miriam.rivera-hokanson@bemidjistate.edu).
  • Spanish minor: The minor requires 14 Spanish credits numbered 3300 or above.
