The BSU Interlibrary Loan Department delivers articles electronically via two methods: MEDD delivery (courtesy of Minitex), and BSU Library’s own electronic delivery service.

If you have a junk mail filter for your e-mail account, you must allow mail from these two senders: medd@othello.minitex.umn.edu and interlibraryloan@bemidjistate.edu.

MEDD Delivery

For an item delivered by Minitex’s MEDD service, you will receive an e-mail from medd@othello.minitex.umn.edu, with the subject line “‘Your Interlibrary Loan Material” and the following message:

Your requested material [#0000000] is available for pickup at: http://medd.minitex.umn.edu. Login with the following information: E-mail = (your e-mail address), PIN = (a number that will be given in this message). Your material will be available on the website for 5 viewings or 7 days after email notification, whichever comes first.

At the pickup site, enter your e-mail address and PIN number in the boxes provided and click on “Log In.” To retrieve your document, click on the VIEW button in the Document column (the VIEW button will include an identifying number for your request). Your document will display in PDF format.

As you are informed in your e-mail message, your document will be available for 5 viewings  or 7 days after e-mail notification, whichever comes first, so either view, print, or save accordingly to retain your material.

You will need Adobe Acrobat (version 4.0 or newer) installed on your computer, in order to access your documents. Click here to download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat.

BSU Library Electronic Delivery

For an item delivered to you courtesy of BSU Library’s electronic delivery service, you will receive an e-mail from “BSU Interlibrary Loan” (interlibraryloan@bemidjistate.edu) with the subject line “The article you requested” and the following message:

Your requested article is available at [hyperlinked URL]

Please note the following time constraints:

* Each document file can be retrieved a maximum of five (5) times for each URL/password combination.
* Files that are not retrieved remain available for 30 days following the original request date.  After 30 days, they are automatically removed from the Article Exchange site.
