The Student Nurses Association (SNA) is a student club for nursing students. Nursing students are encouraged to join the SNA. SNA exists to promote health and wellness in the Bemidji State University community. Its other focus is to support the campus, friends and families.

SNA meets weekly to practice skills, hear guest speakers and take part in a variety of public service projects. Activities that SNA has been involved in recently include:

  • Blood donation drives
  • Suicide awareness 5K
  • Roadside clean-up
  • BSU Health Fair
  • Trick-or-treat for canned goods
  • Serving at a local soup kitchen
  • Making cards for soldiers
  • De-stress with Pets
  • Practicing skills in the lab:
    • sterile field
    • wound care
    • high-definition simulation
    • vital signs
  • Attending the annual MN Student Nurses’ Association Conference
