2020-2021 Scholarships Now Available

A record nearly 40 business students will be awarded a record of over $72,000 in scholarships in April. Thanks to BSU connected, dedicated, loyal and generous Beaver Alumni, full-time students in business-related programs are eligible to apply for a variety of need & merit-based scholarships ranging up to $3,000 each.
Awards are distributed in two parts, with students receiving 50% in the fall and the remaining 50% in the spring. Scholarships are applied directly toward the recipient’s tuition.

Michael and Tracy Roberge Scholarships
- For students with a declared major in Business Administration
- Demonstrated financial need
Baer Family/Security Bank USA Scholarship
- Students majoring in Business Administration
- Preference to students from Northern Minnesota
Ron Batchelder Scholarship
- Juniors and seniors in Business, Economics or Nursing
- Minimum GPA 3.0
- Demonstrated financial need
Sorensen Business Scholarship
- Award for undergraduate student from Minnesota accredited high school
- Junior or senior majoring in Business Administration
- Minimum GPA 2.50
- Preference given to student active in campus leadership roles and campus activities
Wayne and Beverly Thorson Business Scholarship
- Award for undergraduate student with strong academic and leadership skills
- Junior or senior majoring in Business Administration
- Preference given to student from Minnesota
Federated Insurance Information Services Academic Achievement Scholarships
- For students with a declared major of CS, CIS or Math
- Sophomores, juniors or seniors with at least one semester remaining during scholarship year
- CS or CIS majors minimum GPA 2.8 — Math majors minimum GPA 3.0
- Applicant must have completed at least one of the following: CS 1108 Introduction to Computer Science II; CS 1309 Problem Solving and Computation; BuAd 3381 Management Information Systems; BuAd 3382 Business Application Development
- Must have authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis
- Evidence of community service required
- Preference to students with demonstrated leadership & extracurricular activities
Federated Insurance Business Scholarship
- Junior and senior students Interested in Business, Finance, Risk Management or Insurance
- Minimum GPA 3.0
- Applicant must have permanent authorization to work in the United States
- Preference to students with demonstrated leadership & extracurricular activities
Welle Family/First National Bank Scholarships
- Students majoring in Business Administration or incoming freshman
- Minimum GPA 3.0
- Preference to U.S. citizens from community within 300 mile radius of Bemidji
- Preference to student who displaying achievement, community involvement and leadership
Dorothy Veranth Memorial Scholarship
- Juniors or seniors majoring in Business Administration
- Minimum GPA 3.25
Lawrence “Hollie” Higgins Scholarship
- Bemidji High School senior
- Minimum GPA 3.25 if already completed college courses at BSU while at BHS
- Planning to attend Bemidji State University to major in Business Administration
Ruth Brune Mangelsdorf Memorial Scholarships
- Juniors or seniors
- Minimum GPA 3.25
- Preference given to a member of a college national honor society
- Preference given to students demonstrating interests in Humanities or English Literature
Donald J. Zuehlke Scholarship
- Juniors or seniors majoring in Business Administration
- Minimum GPA 3.0
Leonard Dickinson Scholarship
- Juniors or seniors majoring in Business Administration
- Minimum GPA 3.25
- Interested in Minnesota’s natural resources
- Preference given to northern Minnesota resident
Richard “Dick” Haberer Scholarship
- Full-time junior or senior majoring in business-related field
Mike McKinley Business Marketing Scholarship
- Junior or senior majoring in Business Administration with emphasis in Marketing
Rich and Joyce Siegert Scholarship
- Junior or senior majoring in Business Administration or Music in good academic standing
Pinnacle Scholarship
- Junior or senior majoring in Business Administration
