Facilities

Bemidji State offers many great facilities including the Gillett Wellness Center, biomechanics lab and the human performance lab.

Health, Sport and Exercise Club

The Health, Sport and Exercise Club is very active on campus and is focused on enhancing relationships between its members and the faculty, expanding opportunities for career preparation and leadership development and providing opportunities to teach in or promote your profession.

Internships and Field Experience

All human performance, sport and health majors must complete an internship or field experience as part of their departmental requirements.

Internships and degree-related experiences can provide valuable experience for students in their field of study. It allows students to experience what working in their field will look like once they graduate. Field experiences for teaching candidates give students the opportunity to learn from teachers at various area schools. Internships and jobs in the field of your studies can encourage students to create connections in their field and with potential future employers.

Professional Organizations

We encourage our students to become members of professional organizations in their field while still an undergraduate. It’s one of the best opportunities you’ll have to network, learn about the latest trends in your field and be exposed to working professionals in your field.

Scholarships

The Department of Human Performance, Sport & Health at Bemidji State University offers over 10 unique scholarships to students within its degree programs and offers foundation scholarships as well.
