Faculty Resources

Extended Learning offers resources for faculty developing and teaching online, hybrid, and web-enabled courses.

Test Proctoring Options

If you plan to design your course(s) with proctored exams and/or quizzes, please contact Angie Coan (angela.coan@bemidjistate.edu) to provide us with the information we need to share with test proctors. The Accessibility Services office in Decker Hall suite 202 offers on-site proctoring for tests given through D2L Brightspace, as well as for written/paper/lab exams. Students need to notify CEL each semester regarding their off-site proctor choices. Extended Learning can also help you get started with a digital – or remotely monitored – proctor option via Remote Proctor Now. Check this page for full proctoring details.

Online Course Request Form

Use the Course Request Form to request a new online course. Courses will not be set up until this form, with all signatures, has been returned to BSU Records & Registration, box #12. Faculty may NOT teach courses through Extended Learning while on sabbatical.

eLearning Support

BSU eLearning Support is the place for faculty and staff to go for instructional design and D2L Brightspace support  for their classes, training sites, and other related sites. Training opportunities are available on-campus and online.  Brightspace troubleshooting support is available on campus, via email, and by phone. Our goal is to provide faculty and staff with the support they need, when they need it, and at the best location.
