Program Highlights

A bachelor’s degree in Project Management (Construction and Facilities Management emphasis) prepares you for a career in construction management or project management. The skills and knowledge acquired in this program will build upon your technical knowledge to make you a better manager.  We will help you stay on-budget and on-time while effectively leading your team. You will take the following courses: TADT 1109 Computer Applications for Project Managers TADT 3111 Project Management Methodology TADT 3112 Leadership in a Team Environment TADT 3267 Economic and Cost Analysis TADT 3885 Technical Sales, Service and Training TADT 3887 Safety and Risk Management TADT 4259 Construction Management TADT 4385 Sustainability and Emerging Technologies TADT 4873 Emphasis Related Capstone TADT 4875 Facilities Management TADT 4878 Quality Assurance TADT 4893 Applied Project Management BUAD 3677 Principles of Real Estate You will also need to complete your Core Curriculum.  See a transfer advisor for details about the number of credits you will need as well as options to complete these credits. Program Entry Requirements: You need an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree from an institutionally accredited college in the building trades similar to those listed in the table above.  This is a two-year degree in most cases. The AAS must have been earned within the last ten years (or longer with faculty approval). At least 32 credits from the AAS must be technical in nature and in the building trades. The AAS must be at least 60 credits with at least 15 of those credits satisfying the university’s liberal education requirements.  Students need to have completed courses in blueprint reading as well as bidding and estimating. Students who have not completed 15 liberal education credits, may take those credits through the college issuing their associate degree, Bemidji State University, or any Minnesota State College. If you have a diploma in the building trades, we may be able to help you meet the minimum requirements for the program.
