Upcoming Changes

Effective July 1, 2027, to renew a Tier 2 or Out-of-Field Permission license, using enrollment and meaningful progress in a teacher preparation program, candidates are required to either complete 1) at least 15 credits, or 2) at least 10 sub-standards within the Standards of Effective Practice.

Section 8: Verification of Enrollment

  • FasTrack students:
    • Completed Orientation to FasTrack
    • Enrolled in at least one course this (or next) semester
    • No academic or dispositional concerns were noted by Program Leader(s)
  • MSPED and Licensure Only students (non-FasTrack):
    • Enrolled in at least one course this (or next) semester
    • No academic or dispositional concerns were noted by Program Leader(s)

Section 8: Verification of Meaningful Program Progress

  • FasTrack students:
    • Completed Orientation to FasTrack
    • Completed at least one course each semester since starting the program
    • Enrolled in at least one course this (or next) semester
    • No academic or dispositional concerns were noted by Program Leader(s)
  • MSPED and Licensure Only students (non-FasTrack):
    • Completed at least one course each semester since starting the program
    • Enrolled in at least one course this (or next) semester
    • No academic or dispositional concerns were noted by Program Leader(s)

Out-of-Field Permission

  • FasTrack students:
    • Completed Orientation to FasTrack
    • Enrolled in at least one course this (or next) semester
    • No academic or dispositional concerns were noted by Program Leader(s)
  • MSPED and Licensure Only students (non-FasTrack):
    • Enrolled in at least one course this (or next) semester
    • No academic or dispositional concerns were noted by Program Leader(s)
