Pine is a welcoming community for upper division students. It is the smallest hall on campus, housing 107 residents on four floors. Every double-sized room is offered as a single. Though small in size, Pine is big on great amenities. The penthouse lounge offers beautiful views, and the lower level features a spacious game room with fireplace and a comfortable study lounge. Pine floors are single-gender.

Pine is available for sophomore and above students, which offers four single gender floors in which students can have their own room or share with your best friend. Pine features a beautiful penthouse lounge with stunning views of Lake Bemidji, spacious community areas, a game room and a large study lounge.

Floors: 4 Floors + Basement

Room Types: Double-as-Single

Communities: Pine Hall houses upper division students (i.e. sophomores to graduate students) and is part of the Community, Academics & Networking (CAN) Program. Each floor community is single gender. Floors 1 & 3 are all-male and floors 2 & 4 are all-female.

Bathrooms: Each floor has single gender bathrooms located halfway down the floor. Floors 1 & 3 bathrooms are male and floors 2 & 4 bathrooms are female. There are gender neutral bathrooms in the basement of Pine near the basement lounge/game room area.

Pine Hall Front Desk: The Pine Hall Front Desk is located in the 1st Floor Lobby and residence can check-out items such as vacuums, carts, games, cooking supplies, tools, etc. Residents can also pick up their packages from the Pine Hall Front Desk if they do not fit into their mailbox. If a resident gets locked out of their room or loses their room key, they can check out a spare tag key at the Pine Hall Front Desk. Pine Garbage & Dumpsters: Pine residents are responsible for taking out their own room garbage to the outside dumpster. Please use the dumpsters either behind Walnut Hall on the softball field side of the building or the dumpsters by Oak Hall B Wing. The dumpster will be behind a tan fence. We encourage residents to break down their boxes and place them in the dumpster, not on the ground beside it.

GMW staff routinely take out the garbage and recycling in the shared community spaces.

Dumpsters and recycling containers located around the residence hall buildings are for resident use only.

Kitchen: Each floor has a community kitchen next to the bathrooms part way down the hallway. Kitchens are equipped with a sink, stove top, oven, garbage and recycling bins.

Laundry: The Pine Hall Laundry Room is located in the basement next to the elevator. Residents use their Pine Hall room keys to access the Laundry Room. Laundry is free and is connected through LaundryView.com. Residents need to provide their own high efficiency laundry detergent.

Lobby: The Pine Hall 1st Floor Lobby contains the Pine Hall Front Desk, resident mailboxes and a printer/copier.

Pine Basement Lounge: Located in the basement, the lounge contains a fireplace, couches, chairs, tables, TV, piano, ping pong table, pool table and dartboard. Supplies for the ping pong table, pool table and dartboard can be checked out at the Pine Hall Front Desk with a valid student ID.

Pine Penthouse Lounge: Located above Pine 4 on the north side of the hallway is the Pine Penthouse. It contains couches, chairs, tables, TV, piano and a ping pong table. Supplies for the ping pong table can be checked out at the Pine Hall Front Desk.

Pine Academic Resource Center (PARC): Located in the basement of Pine, the PARC is a great study lounge where if you want to study with a group of people or need a break from your. There are couches, tables and chairs. The Pine vending machines are also located in the PARC.

 

Mail & Packages: Each room has their own mailbox located next to the Pine Hall Front Desk. If items are too large to fit into the mailbox, residents can pick up their packages at the Pine Hall Front Desk. Residents will receive an email to their BSU student email address when a package has arrived and ready to be picked up.

Pine has an outdoor gathering space with grills and bike racks. Residents will need to bring their own bike lock if they wish to store their bike on the bike rack.
