Room Selection Timeline 2024-25

  • By June 1: Begin finalizing your roommate pair. Pairs are not required but are helpful when selecting a double room or suite with someone of your choosing.
  • By June 5: Make sure your application is complete. Verify this by viewing your status on the first page of your app.
  • June 7: Room selection timeslots are assigned. An email notification will contain your assigned room selection timeslot. Timeslots will be based on your application complete date. They will be emailed to your BSU email.
  • View the room selection guide for step by step instructions on how to select a room for yourself (and other member in your roommate pair), indicate bed loft preference and pick your meal plan.

Room selection is completed through your housing application in e-Services on a first-come, first-serve basis. Don’t delay in signing up for your room when your timeslot window opens. More students are added as each timeslot starts. Students that complete their applications after the last timeslot on June 20 will automatically proceed to room selection. Online room selection will end on August 1. After this date, our office will begin assigning rooms randomly to those students that have not made a selection. View the Room Selection Guide!

You must have a complete housing application in order to select a room. You can check your application status by entering your fall housing application through e-Services in your MyBSU account. A complete housing application means that you have made your $150 prepayment and signed the Terms of Agreement (contract).

After selecting your room through your application, you will choose a meal plan and indicate your bed loft preference.
