Step 4: Estimate Cost

Tuition at BSU is the same for all undergraduate students, whether you live in Minnesota or elsewhere. Don’t be penalized for your residency status!

Calculate the Cost

Tuition and housing are the primary costs of earning your education. Individual costs will vary depending on your housing choices, being part-time or full-time, and whether you are an on-campus or online student. We encourage you to visit our net price calculator for a more accurate picture of your estimated costs.

If you have not completed your 2019-2020 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), please consider doing so in order to maximize funding available and eliminate delays in receiving financial aid for Spring 2019. BSU is committed to helping you find a way to pay for college, whether it is through financial aid, scholarships or employment options. If you require any assistance, don’t hesitate to contact the Financial Aid office at 218-755-2034.

If you haven’t submitted all of your scholarship applications yet, get a head start on the school year by downloading the necessary forms here.

If you received financial aid at another school this year and you are now transferring to Bemidji State University, you will need to cancel your remaining aid at the other school.

Once you have done so, complete the following steps:

  1. Visit the FAFSA website and log-in
  2. Under returning user click on “Add a school”
  3. Add BSU school code 002336 and Submit

Once BSU Financial Aid receives all of the required information, we will determine your financial aid eligibility and send you an email once your award letter is available in your e-services account. Award types and amounts can vary from one school to the next.
