Activate your StarID Account
Once accepted to BSU, your StarID is used to log in to the campus wireless networks, all campus computers, ITS services and applications (including MyBSU) and student email.

Must be an accepted student in order to access your MyBSU portal.
Get comfortable logging into your MyBSU portal which gives you access to your student email (Outlook), E-Services, and D2L online classroom. Pay special attention to the username formatting since it will be different for MyBSU and email access. Also, your StarID is the two-letter-4-number-2-letter username assigned to you the first time you applied to a Minnesota State school.

FAFSA opens October 1st. Priority deadline is January 1st. BSU is committed to helping you find a way to pay for college, whether it is through financial aid, scholarships or employment options. If you require any assistance, don’t hesitate to contact the Financial Aid office at 218-755-2034 or financialaid@bemidjistate.edu.
Housing Application
The Housing application opens October 1st for accepted students. Submitting your Housing Application early will ensure you get the residence hall you want. We’ll help orient you to the Residential Life process. All new, incoming freshmen students are required to live on-campus for their first year at Bemidji State (some exceptions apply). All motor vehicles that park on campus during the academic year are required to display a current permit for the area in which they will be parked. In order to purchase a parking permit, the vehicle must be pre-registered online or at the Cashiers Office (2nd floor Deputy Hall), (218) 755-2045.

The SVPT program provides critical information about responsible behaviors and decision-making regarding non-discrimination, dating and relationships violence, and harassment. You will receive an email at the beginning of August with instructions on how to complete this training. All students must complete this online program early in their first semester to be eligible to enroll in future semesters.
